Shirin Alam busy with acting

From the stage of theatre to small screen Shirin Alam also got admiration by the audiences for her silver screen appearance in a number of movies. She is a well-known actress in the country’s acting arena. She has portrayed a number of different roles and made herself a professional performer.
While talking about working career Shirin Alam told this correspondent, “I never doubted my decision for taking up acting as my profession from the beginning. Not everybody has got the chance to act. It was the blessing of the Allah and cordial support of others, which has made me an actress. It is a big achievement for me. I want to continue acting until death.”
Shirin started her small screen journey with Mominur Rashid Millat’s telefilm titled Obhishap in 2000. However, before that she was a member of renowned theatre troupes Padadhwani for 10 years and later joined Nagorik Natya Sampradaya for one year. With the Padadhwani, she performed in the plays titled Mama Montri Hoben and Babar Biye. After her small screen debut, Shirin has acted under the direction of Abdullah Al Mamun in a number of telefilms like Baba, Songsar and Joar Bhata, etc. She had also got attention of the viewers for her portrayal in Zahid Hasan’s drama serial Laal Neel Beguni. Under the direction of Abul Hayat, she acted in Kazi Nazrul Islam’s story based telefilm titled Jhilimili. Later, she worked in number of projects under the same director. Shirin’s noteworthy big screen movies include Gias Uddin Selim’s Monpura, Tauquir Ahmed’s Daruchini Dwip, Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Shasti and Shahin Sumon’s Love Marriage.
