Chittagong district police recovered the body of a ship-breaking worker from hilly Kadamrasul area under Sitakunda upazila of the district on Saturday night.
The body was identified as Nurul Islam, hailed from the same area, worked as a cutter in ship-breaking yard in Sitakunda.
On information from the locals, Sitakunda Thana Police recovered the body of Islam from the area, said Motaleb Sarkar, officer-in-charge (OC-investigation) of Sitakunda Thana.
Quoting victim’s family members, police said Islam, who had been in a land-dispute with neighbours, went out from his home on Thursday but did not return.
Later, victim’s wife lodged a general diary (GD) with the police station on Friday evening.
Police suspect that Islam might have been killed over land related dispute.
