A worker of MV Kafil Uddin-1 died after falling in the hatch from its deck at Bangla Bazar Ghat of the Karnaphuly river in Chittagong city early on Wednesday.
Md Mizanur Rahman, 40, of Shibaloy of Manikganj, fell down while he was placing the hatch cover, said police.
He was declared dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
