Noted TV actress and playwright Shilpi Sarkar Apu was hailed from Malini Road of Patpotti in Netrokona. Yesterday morning she went to Netrokona by bus to see her mother Parul Sarkar. During break of her works she went there and
will stay for two days.
Before leaving Dhaka she has
finished writing a new serial titled Regey Gelen To Herey Gelen.
After a break of six years, Shilpi Sarkar Apu wrote any serial, which direction was given by Naresh Bhuiyan. Shooting of 13 episodes has already been done. Within very short time the serial will be telecasted in any satellite channel, Apu said.
While talking about to write a new serial for the viewers Shilpi Sarkar Apu told this correspondent, “I write only for my mental satisfaction. Now
I am regular in acting rather than previous time. For this reason, I can’t get enough time for writing. I hope viewers will enjoy the serial.”
On the occasion of last Eid, Apu last wrote two plays. Though her written all the plays were given direction by her husband now Apu has decided
to give her scripts to other directors, she mentioned.
It may be mentioned that Apu’s written first TV play was Bhalobashi Sudhaiyona Karey Bhalobashi, which was telecasted on Bangladesh Television (BTV).
Asaduzzaman Noor, Shampa Reza, Dilara Zaman, Mamunur Rashid, Shomi Kaisar, Sirajul Islam, among others,
acted in that play.
Six years back, Apu last wrote a serial titled Shesh Odhdhyay for Banglavision. Basically she writes
single plays and telefilms. For BTV her written first serial was Khushi.
In her acting career, Shilpi Sarkar Apu debuted against Afzal Hossain by late Atiqul Haque Chowdhury’s play Sukher Upoma. It was telecasted in 1983. During that she was a student
of Political Science Department
of Dhaka University.
Apu’s acted first TV serial was late Humayun Ahmed’s Eishob Dinratri. But in the beginning of her career she came into limelight to act in the title role in Riazuddin Badshah’s
serial Anwara.
