The Puppet Theatre Fest, organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), will be held online this year, due to coronavirus pandemic.
The festival was scheduled to start on June 26 but was postponed later. The new date of the festival is not yet finalised, Hasan Mahmud, Public Relations Officer of BSA, confirmed the matter. He said that seven theatre troupe from across the country will participate in the online festival. It will be aired from BSA’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel. A
workshop was conducted by BSA from June 19 to 21, with the seven participating troupes on different techniques and modes
of puppet dance.
