Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) hosted a programme titled Mohabijoyer Mohanayok dedicated to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On the day, wonderful artistes captivated the audience
at the National Theatre Hall Auditorium of BSA with mesmerising performing arts which included acting, singing and
dance performances. The event was organised on the occasion
of the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh and the birth centenary of the Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The cultural segment of the show kicked off with a dance number titled Birangona. The routine narrated by Rehana Parveen was choreographed by Shamim Sagar and its music was
directed by Nirjhar Chowdhury. Bonhishikha dance troupe performed with the song Dekho
Chokh Mele Shono Kan Pete, choreographed by Shahida Rahman Surovi. The dance script performances Smritite Sohagpur and Muktijuddher Bou were performed by the Rhythm Dance Group
and choreographed by Sweety Das Chowdhury and Rhythm Dance Group respectively. Afterwards, Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra’s singers Rupa Farhad, Rafiqul Alam, Akramul Islam
and Manoranjan Ghoshal
rendered solo songs.
Poet Nurul Huda, Aslam Sunny and Jharna Sarkar recited the poem, Shokgantha 15 August 1975 written by Nirmalendu Goon. Later, Director General of Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over the discussion segment of the show attended by Secretary Abul Mansur and Production Director Sohaila Afsana. The programme was
moderated by Tamanna Tithi.
