Once she acted with Jamaluddin Hossain’s theatre group, Nagorik Nattyangon. Under this theatre group she impressed the audience to act in dramas Chand Boniker Pala, Jonotar Rongoshala, Bibisab. Later, Shikha Mou got appreciation from the viewers to host BTV’s shows Antorongo, Dhwoni Protiddhwoni and Jonkar after getting the assistance from BTV producers Sheikh Riazuddin Badshah and Alauddin. In TV drama, Shikha Mou was first seen against Mahfuz Ahmed in Nahid Ahmed Pial directed Gontobbyo Atohpor. Later, Mou also acted in many dramas under direction of Shihab Shahin, Kaiser Ahmed, Masum Aziz, Gias Uddin Selim, among others. Shikha Mou, hailed from Chattogram, was also seen in movies including Gias Uddin Selim’s Monpura, Chalbaj, Tui Shudhu Aamar, FI Manik’s Aamar Swapno Aamar Songsar, Montazur Rahman Akbar’s Ebhabei Bhalobasa Hoye Jai, Mizanur Rahman Labu’s Tukhor, Dipankar Dipon’s Dhaka Attack, etc.
Shikha is passing busy time with acting now. She said, “I am a professional actress. I want to continue acting forever. I am grateful to them by whom I got support to come into my present position in acting. Without their support I will not come into this position. Alhamdulillah I am satisfied with my present position. I am happy with my two sons and only daughter Samia.” She lost her husband earlier.
