Police arrested a leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir from a residential hall of MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Monday evening on charge of making derogatory post against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The arrestee was identified as Arifur Rahman, 24, president of Shaheed Shamsuddin Hall unit of Shibir.
Arifur, a 3rd year student of the medical college, is son of Habibur Rahman of Mohishdanga village of Barguna district.
