Detective members of Chittagong Metropolitan police arrested President of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), Government Haji Mohammad Mohsin College chapter Sazzad Hossain last noon.
Acting on a tip off, the detectives detained Sazzad from city’s Bibirhat area.Inspector of Detective branch (North) Nizamuddin told that Sazzad is now being quizzed who has been wanted in several charges and cases.
A final year student of Physics Department of the college Sazzad also claimed himself as a president of Science faculty unit of ICS.
Sazzad led the violent clash with Bangladesh Chhatra League which took control over the country’s two most prestigious colleges-Chittagong Government College and Government Haji Mohammad Mohsin College on December 16, the Victory Day, 2015 after three decades long domination by the ICS, police said.
