Shakhawat Hossain Rony scored a brace as Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra blanked Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-0 goals in the JB Bangladesh Premier League football held on Saturday at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
After the barren first half, Rony finally broke the deadlocks scoring the first goal for Sheikh Russel in the in the 52nd minute and sealed the victory scoring the second goal in the 55th minutes of the match.
With the day’s win, Sheikh Russel secured 11 points from 13 matches while old Dhaka ‘outfit’ Rahmatganj remained at their previous credit of 22 points playing the same number of outings.
