The day-long Shaheed Sheikh Russel Memorial School Chess tournament will be held on Saturday (October 14) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on the occasion of birth anniversaries of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said a Bangladesh Chess Federation press release.
Organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation with assistance by Sheikh Russel Jatio Shishu Kishor Parisad the tournament will be held in an open event for all school students.
Interested school students have been asked to enroll their name with certificate from their respective school on or before Thursday (October 12) at Bangladesh Chess Federation office.
The event will be held in Swiss-League system and trophies, medals and certificate will be given to winners.
