Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Russel KC left here for Colombo on Sunday to play in the Group A match of the AFC President Cup Football that will begin in the Sri Lankan capital on May 7 (Wenesday).
Sheikh Russel KC contingent, which earned triple crown last season in the domestic circuit, comprises 20 players and 12 officials. Some of the officials not accompanying the team on Sunday will join the team in Colombo shortly.
Bangladesh champions Sheikh Russell KC have been placed in Group A of the AFC Club meet alongside Sri Lanka Air Force SC, KRL Football Club of Pakistan and Ugyen Academy FC of Bhutan.
Sheikh Russell KC will play KRL Football Club of Pakistan on Wednesday (May 7), Sri Lanka Air Force SC on Friday (May 9) and Ugyen Academy FC of Bhutan on Sunday (May 11) in their Group A engagements.
