Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra have been placed against seven-time Mongolian league champions Erchim FC and Korean debutants Rimyongsu FC in Group B of the last edition finals of the AFC President’s Cup, as the draw for the final took place at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
The former Bangladesh Premier League champions and the highest-ranked side in the tournament, who qualified for the final round by becoming champions in group phases in May, will start their campaign with the match against Erchim FC on September 20. They will face Rimyongsu Club of Korea on September 24 in their group’s last match.
The toppers from this three-team group will play in the final against the winners of the Group A, which includes Manang Marsyangdi Club of Nepal, Sri Lanka Air Force and FC HTTU of Turkmenistan.
The final is scheduled to be held on September 26. All the matches will be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
