Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club conceded a 0-2 goal defeat against Ceres La Salle of the Philippines in a Group-E match of the AFC Cup Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh team conceded two goals in a span of only four minutes in the first half.
This was the 2nd consecutive defeat for Sheikh Jamal DC in the AFC Cup after losing by 0-4 goals to the Tampines Rovers of Singapore.
Ceres FC took lead in the 25th minute when a placing shot of Adrian Gallardor, off a Reichelt cross, hit the post and entered the net beating Sohel (1-0).
Ceres FC widened the margin just four minutes later as forward Markus Schrock provided a square pass to Gallardo, who placed a flat footed shot into the middle of the net (2-0).
