Coming from behind, defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club earned a face-saving 2-1 goals victory against bottom placed Soccer Club, Feni in the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the MA Aziz Stadium here on Tuesday.
Despite the day’s win, Sheikh Jamal DC remained in the 3rd slot in the 12-team league securing 28 points from 16 matches while Soccer Club, Feni remained at the bottom with their previous collection of 10 points, also playing 16 encounters.
Mahbubul Islam Himu put Soccer Club ahead in the 25th minute (1-0) while Emeka Darlington leveled the margin for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 45th minute (1-1) to lock the match during the first half.
Darboe Landing scored the match-winning goal for the defending champions in the 76th minute (2-1)
Muktijoddha SKC will play Dhaka Mohammedan SC at 3:30 pm while Chittagong Abahani will meet Uttar Baridhara Club at 6:15 pm today (Nov 23) at the same venue.
