Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited beat City Club by 53 runs in their match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Friday.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited led the points table bagging 18 points from 10 matches, while City Club earned six points from as many matches. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited confirmed their Super League berth.
Sent into bat first, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited scored 197 runs in 46.2 overs and then, shot out City Club by 144 runs off 43.1 overs.
