Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim said, “Sheikh Hasina’s tenure in politics and power is a golden chapter in the contemporary world. No one will ever be able to touch this chapter.”
He said this while speaking as chief guest at a discussion meeting and doa mahfil organized by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 74th birthday on Thursday in the auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council at Farmgate in the city, a press release said.
He also said that Sheikh Hasina is the savior of the Bengali nation. “She is ideal as a ruler and a politician. She has reached a unique height by surpassing the identity of the President of the Awami League and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Her tenure is marked as a unique chapter in history.”
Rezaul said, “If Sheikh Hasina had not returned, the course of history would have been shattered. Because after the return of Sheikh Hasina, history has started developing cleanly. He who inherits the ideals of Bangabandhu cannot be defeated “, it added.
He continued, after returning to the country, Sheikh Hasina told the people “I have come back to fulfill the aspirations of all the people of Bangladesh. I don’t have any personal desire.”
He further said “Sheikh Hasina has turned the bottomless basket Bangladesh into a developed Bangladesh with food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care. She has turned the five-time champion in corruption state into a role model for development. That is why she is called to possess the magical power of development.”
Chairman of the Fisheries Development Corporation Kazi Hasan Ahmed, Director General of the Department of Livestock Dr. Abdul Jabbar Sikder, Director General of the Department of Fisheries Kazi Shams Afroz, Director General of Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute Dr. Yahiya Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute Nathu Ram Sarkar and Principal of Marine Fisheries Academy Capt. M H Ahmed participated in the discussion.
Among others, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Shah Mohammad Imdadul Haque, Subol Bose Moni, Shyamal Chandra Karmakar, Mohammad Taufiqul Arif and other officials of the ministry and its departments were present at the occasion.
