Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury on Monday said that the transformation of digital Bangladesh and prevailing harmony with the stable political situation is unparallel.
“With the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh is now a role model of development. She initiated the digital revolution in the country and it’s journey towards development is a unique one,” Dr Shirin told an orientation programme on E-Governance at National University of Singapore (NUS), an official press release said here.
The Speaker said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman re-established the war ravaged Bangladesh within three and half years.
Bangladesh would have become a modern-digital country long ago if his vision had been implemented” she said.
She mentioned the ICT Advisor of the government Sajeeb Wazed is the maker of latest Digital Bangladesh Movement, and his struggle involving technology has made our lives easier.
She welcomed the idea of the workshop as it would let Bangladesh exchange ideas and views about digital technologies with Singapore, which is already a technologically developed country.
