Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall became champions of the Inter-Hall Cricket Competition for female students of Dhaka University (DU) defeating Shamsunnahar Hall in the final at the Central Cricket Ground of DU on Wednesday. Shamsunnahar Hall finished runners-up in the meet. Ria Akter Shanta, a fourth year student of Law Department was adjudged the Player of the Match. She is a student of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall.
After the final match, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
President of Cricket Committee of DU Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
Provosts of different halls of DU, residential teachers of different halls and officials of Physical Education Centre were present at the time.
