On the day of the incident, Anushka Noor Amina, an ‘O’ level student of city’s Mastermind School, went alone to her boy friend Iftekhar Fardin Dihan’s house on the Dolphin Road in Kalabagan of the capital.
Even after the incident, Dihan drove and brought Anushka to the hospital alone. There was no one else inside the house or on the way to the hospital, said Dulal Mia, Security guard of Dihan’s house in the police custody.
Earlier, Security guard Dulal Mia absconded from the duty place since the incident. He returned to work place on Sunday
(January 10) night and Police took Dulal Mia into custody as a witness in the case on Monday morning.
Dulal told the police that he had been on duty at the gate of Dihan’s house since the morning of the incident. He even knew that there was no one at home that day except Dihan. Around noon of the day, Dulal saw a girl going to Dihan’s house alone.
About an hour after Anushka entered the residence, Dihan came out with unconscious Anushka and drove away to the hospital, Security guard Dulal added.
Meanwhile, the police said that Dulal was taken into custody as a witness in the court following the statement given by Dihan under Section 164 in the rape and murder case of Anushka.
As Dulal is not an accused in the case, he will be released at the end of the testimony, police officials added.
Earlier, Anushka died from excessive bleeding after rape in the city’s Kalabagan area on Thursday.
Victim’s mother said Dihan invited the girl to his house at Dolphin alley of Kalabagan around 11am on Thursday in the name of group study where she was raped. As she was bleeding profusely, the accused Dihan took her to Anwer Khan Medical College Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, victim’s father filed a murder case with Kalabagan Police Station early Friday.
A Dhaka court sent Dihan to jail after he made a confessional statement before it when police produced him there seeking a 10-day remand. However, police said Dihan and Anushka had been in a relationship for two months.
