The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday fixed October 10 for submission of the report in a case filed against actress Pori Moni under the Narcotics Control Act with the Banani Police Station.
Magistrate Sattabrata Sikder of the CMM Court fixed the date as Investigation Officer of the case and CID Inspector Kazi Golam Mostafa failed to submit the report on Wednesday. Earlier, Pori Moni appeared in the court at about
10.45am yesterday.
Judge KM Imrul Kayes of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court granted bail to Pori Moni on August 31 after hearing. The actress is currently on bail.
RAB arrested Pori Moni and her associate Dipu from her Banani resident in the capital on August 4. At that time, different types of drugs were reportedly recovered from her house.
The next day, on August 5, RAB-1 filed a case against Pori Moni and her associate under the Narcotics Control Act with Banani Police Station.
Later, Pori Moni was remanded for a total of seven days in three phases.
