Shatadal Club emerged as the champions of the Walton 3rd Cox’s Bazar Beach Football Tournament defeating Cox’s Bazar Abahani Krira Chakra by 7-2 goals in the final at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Wednesday.
Shatadal Club, the champions of the football competition were awarded with Tk 20,000 while Cox’s Bazar Abahani Krira Chakra, the runners-up of the meet were given Tk 15,000 as prize-money.
Ridwan of Cox’s Bazar Abahani was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
After the final match, Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Assistant Police Super of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Hossain Md Raihan Kajemi and General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Anup Barua Apu were with him as the special guest.
Secretary of the Tournament Committee Rashed Hossain Nannu was also present at the time.
Vice-President of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Jasim Uddin presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
A total of eight teams took part in the football competition. They are: Shatadal Club, Cox’s Bazar Abahani Krira Chakra, National Cox Krira Sangha, Malumghat Krira Sangha, Youngmens Club, Coat Bazar Players Association, Football Club Mohaeshkhali and Bashkata Players Association,
