MS. Sharmin Khan, Acting Country Director of Handicap International will leave Dhaka for Washington today at the Invitation of U.S Government to attend 3 weeks Leadership programme on “Refugee and Migration Issues”.
She will attend meetings and workshops in Washington and other major cities of the United States.
Her nomination/selection for the Leadership programme in USA is in recognition of her contributions and involvement for resettlement of the Rohingya Refugee problem in Bangladesh.
The Leadership programme will be attended by senior leaders and high officials from several countries of the world.
Sharmin Khan is a law graduate and also did her Masters on Human Rights Law. She joined French based organization Handicap International 6 years back as Deputy Country Director.
