Share transaction rises further

Share transaction at the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges went up further on Tuesday with maintaining a rising trend of the major price indices of the both bourses.
The higher activates in DSE pushed the trade value to Taka 643.70 crore which was higher than the previous session of the week when the transaction value was Taka 633.92 crore. The CSE also closed the day with following trend with the trade value Taka 37.20 crore which was Taka 34.57 crore in the previous session.
The daily trade volume surged to 15.69 crore shares at DSE. The broader DSEX index of DSE was 1.88 point up at 4691.06. The blue-chip DS30 and the Shariah DSES were also 0.97 points up at 1763.78 and 1.77 points up at 1126.24.
CSE finished the session significantly up, with its general CASPI gaining 20.28 points to close at 14,414.
At DSE, out of the day’s 321 traded issues, price of 112 securities closed higher against 151 losing issues. At CSE, issues traded were 255 while 91 closed higher against 121 closing lower.
The major gaining issues were Power Grid, Shasha Denims, Confidence Cement, Yeakin Polymer and Sonali Ansh. The major losing issues were KAY and QUE, Rahima Food, Khan Brothers PP, Standard Ceramics and Apex Spinning.
Confidence Cement topped the turnover leaders followed by Doreen Power, Shasha Denims, MJL BD, Power Grid and Saif Power.
