Popular Lux superstar and actress Shanarei Devi Shanu has been passing busy times with writing stories, novels and poems foe last few years. This year’s book fair, Shanu-written first children book titled Shanarei O Tar Jadur Leitreng. For writing this book she recently got Meena Award.
According to her, it is Shanu’s achievement as a writer after receiving the crown of Lux-Channel i Superstar Award for many years. She believes this achievement will inspire to continue her writing. When she got the news of getting Meena Award, she was in Kolkata during that time.
While talking in this regard Shanu told this correspondent, “This award is a great recognition for me as a writer which I cannot tell in a word. I am really delighted to get the award. As a writer, my responsibility has been increased now.”
“My three books are coming in Ekushey Book Fair 2020. These are: Lipstick (novel), Priyotom Megh (poem book) and a children which title yet not finalised. Now I am passing very busy days with these books. Therefore, I am giving time to acting. I have already finished shooting of SM Kamruzzaman Sagor’s play titled Buddhiman Gadha for Channel i. I have enjoyed a lot working under Sagor Bhai’s direction. After many days, I played the role of a village woman. Story of the play was nice. I believe viewers will also enjoy the play,” Shanu also said.
