Shamsu Boli of Teknaf has broken the record of one decade champion Didar Boli of Ramu in the Jabbar Bolikhela competition held in Chittagong on Monday at Laldighi maidan . This was the 107th session of this Bolikhela of Chittagong. In first round of the competition,78 wrestler participated where 37 selected in final round. In final round , Shamu Boli defeated the decade long champion Didar Boli. Eye witnesses sources said the final battle between Didar Boli andShamsu Boli was lasted for about 32 minutes and finally broke the previous record of the Didar boli.
Hence, Shamsu Boli declared champion of the wrestling this year. City Chief guest of the competition session, city Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin distributed the trophy and cash award to the champion and the runner up. Police commissioner graced it as special guest. Councilor Jahar Lal Hazari presided over it.
Mentionable that ShamshuBoli is also the champion of Satkania Makkar Bolikhela and Shahabuddin Bolikhela in Chittagong in the last session, sources said. Beside the Bolikhela, the ongoing Boishaki fair will continue for more one day upto Thursday next , a fair committee sources said.
