Versatile actress Shamima Nazneen is hailed from Gangpul village of Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj. She was former student of Physics at University of Dhaka. She impressed the viewers to play the role of Subol’s mother in noted litterateur, director and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed’s movie Srabon Megh-er Din. With the continuation of that impression, she has been acting in TV dramas and movies till now. Shamima Naznin is busy with acting in movies and TV dramas. She worked in serials Shohorali, directed by Ezaz Munna, Tolpar, directed by Musafir Roni, Tolpar, etc. Now she is engaged with acting in serials Hawai Mithai and Hoi Hoi Roi Roi. In fact, Shamima Nazneen is satisfied with her own position in media. According to her,
if she continues acting by this way she will be satisfied. While talking in this regard the actress said, “I am very much satisfied with my acting career. There is a lot of contribution of Humayun Ahmed Sir to bring me this position. I did not know anything about acting. But he prepared me for acting and then gave me the scope
to work in media. For him, I am now today’s Shamima Nazneen and
I am receiving so much loves from the viewers for my performance.

Shamima Nazneen started her acting career with Humayun Ahmed’s serial Sobuj Sathi. She was lucky to
get the opportunity to act with Asaduzzaman Noor in that serial. Later, she played the title role in Humayun Ahmed’s drama Bonur Golpo. She also acted in Humayun Ahmed’s two other movies – Dui Duari and Ghetuputro Komola.
Among three sisters and one
brother, Shamima Nazneen is one of them. Her only daughter Sudha
is studying in Class-VII now. She also acted in Nargis Akter’s movies Char Sotin-er Ghor and Meghla Akash.
She informed that once Masud Sezan co-operated her on the way
of her journey in media. Now she
is acting in two dramas.
