A recitation programme titled Hridoy-e Choitonney Bodh-e was held at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of the Central Public Library in the city’s Shahbagh area recently.
Muktodhara Abritti Charcha Kendro organised the programme where Mohiuddin Shamim and Luna Shikdar recited poems.
In the programme, Shamim recited 13 poems including Rabindranath Tagore’s Banshi and Sonar Tori, Jibanananda Das’ Andhokar and Shamsur Rahman’s Obhishap Dichhchhi are mentionable.
On the other hand, Luna Shikdar recited 11 poems in the programme where Rabindranath Tagore’s Geetanjali-3, Shamsur Rahmn’s Ki Poriksha Nebey, Rudro Mohammad Shahidullah’s Moddhyoraat, Falguni Madhobilata’s Sonamonir Bay and Ashim Saha’s Prithibir Sobcheye Mormoghati Roktopat were mentionable poems.
A large number of recitation lovers attended the programme.
They were enthralled with the performances of Shamim and Luna.
After completing his academic career from Jahangirnagar University Mohiuddin Shamim is now working in a private satellite channel. Since 2002 he has been attached with Muktodhara Abritti Charcha Kendro. He became country’s Best Young Recitation Artiste in Cute-Channel i Abritti Chhondey Anandey 2009, which was jointly organised by Bangladesh Abritti Shamunnai Parishad and Channel i.
On the other hand, after finishing her academic career in Philosophy from Eden College Luna Shikdar has been working in a private bank now. Since 2002 she has been attached with Muktodhara Abritti Charcha Kendro.
Now she is also working as executive member of the organisation. She gave direction of Muktodhara’s popular production titled Shimar Majhey Ashim Tumi.
