Shamim Kamal, wife of former Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Professor A F M Kamal Uddin, died of a heart attack on Saturday at Winnipeg Victoria General Hospital in Canada.
She left behind three daughters, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam expressed profound shock at the death of Shamim Kamal.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, JU Teachers’ Association (JUTA) also expressed shock and sorrow at the death of Shamim Kamal, said a press release on Saturay.
