She is popularly known as a news presenter to all.
In her childhood, she learnt dancing. But she couldn’t get the scope to learn rendering song. However, Munni can render song well. In 2008, Shamim Ara Munni won the first prize to render song in ATN Bangla’s reality show Family Star. During that time she secured the top position to render Runa Laila’s a song titled Shesh korona shurutey khela in that contest. Last year for the
first time Munni gave her voice for a basic song.
As a part of its continuation, Munni again rendered a basic song recently. Under the coordination of singer Fahmida Nabi’s voice grooming academy, Karigar
an album is going to be released from the collection
of some basic songs of selected singers. Shamim Ara Munni got the scope to render a song.
Under Fahmida Nabi’s coordination, Munni rendered
a song titled Tumi ki dekhechho sagor-er dhew.
Ripon Chowdhury wrote lyrics of the song
which music was composed by Sajib Das.
Munni is very much delighted to contribute her vocal for the romantic and love based song. While talking in this regard Munni told this correspondent, “At first, I give thanks to Fahmida Apa because if she did not take the initiative I could not render the song. I have liked its lyrics and music. I am really excited to render the song because I like to render song. I believe listeners will enjoy the song.”
Munni also informed that within very short time she will make music video of her rendered second basic song. After taking permission from Fahmida Nabi I will
make the video. After completing other works I have planned to release a solo album also.”
It is noted that Munni earlier gave her voice for a basic song titled Maa, which lyrics was written by Ripon Khan. For the last 16 years Munni has been working
in ATN Bangla as a news presenter. Besides, she has
been also engaged to give training on news
presentation in different institutions.
