Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not go to Zimbabwe. Bangladesh Cricket team will get seven-day recess after the West Indies tour. The Team Management of BCB has planned to give leisure to the senior cricketers as the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe will not be part of ICC ODI Super League. But all the senior cricketers are interested to travel to Zimbabwe excepting Shakib Al Hasan.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of BCB Jajal Yunus said, “Most of the senior cricketers will be available for Zimbabwe tour. Shakib told us that he would not go to Zimbabwe. We talked to the selectors in a meeting today. They have finalized a squad for the Zimbabwe tour. All the cricketers of the squad against West Indies will play for Bangladesh.”
Before Zimbabwe tour, Bangladesh cricketers will take part in the practice sessions for five days.
Bangladesh will play a three-match T20I series and three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in July-August.
