World famed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan touched 400 wickets milestone as the first Bangladesh player in international cricket.
Shakib reached the milestone during the third match of the four-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Wednesday.
The 28-year all-rounder from Magura dismissed Richmond Mutumbami in his second over spell for 20 runs to reach the mark. Later, Shakib grabbed Vusi Sibanda and Malcolm Waller to extend his tally to 402. Shakib grabbed three wickets for 32 runs in four overs in the day’s match.
On his way to 402 wickets, Shakib played 42 Tests for 147 wickets, 157 ODIs for 206 wickets and 41 T20Is for 49 wickets.
Shakib grabbed 400 plus wickets and scored 8,000 plus runs to touch the double feat which made him the sixth cricketer in the history of international cricket to achieve the rear feat.
He has entered the elite club to match with the likes of Kapil Dev, Sanath Jayasurya, Jacques Kallis, Shahid Afridi and Chris Cairns.
