Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has tested negative for coronavirus. So, There is no obstruction for Shakib Al Hasan to take part in the intensive training under the supervision of his coaches and mentors Nazmul Abedin Fahim and Mohammad Salahuddin at the BKSP in Savar. Shakib will go there today to take part a four or five weeks long coaching camp.
Shakib Al Hasan returned home on Wednesday last from United States of America.
Shakib was banned last year by International Cricket Council (ICC) from all formats of cricket for failing to report corrupt approaches. His suspension will be withdrawn from October 29.
It may be mentioned that Shakib Al Hasan returned home by Qatar Airways after testing negative in Covid-19 test. Chief Physician of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Debashis Chowdhury said, ” Shakib was not bound to test coronavirus. But as he will be taking part in the intensive training at BKSP, so, it was needed for Shakib Al Hasan to undergo in Covid-19 test.”
Bangladesh will visit Sri Lanka to play three-match Test series against the islanders from October 24. So, Shakib cannot take part in the first Test against Lanka.
BCB wants that Bangladesh Cricket team will get service from Shakib, who will compete against Lanka from the second Test.
