World famed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan made the first breakthrough for Bangladesh grabbing two Afghan wickets in a single over in the 2nd match of their three-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Shakib dismissed opening batsman Nawroz Mangal at 14/1 in 3.4 overs while took the wicket of Rahmat Shah by lbw in the last delivery of the same over.
To grab Nawroz Mangal (10) and Rahmat Shah (0), Shakib conceded only 9 runs. The visitors were batting on 39/2 in 10 overs till filing of this report.
Hashmatullah Shahidi and opener Mohammad Shahzad were in the crease on 17 and 11 respectively.
Earlier, sent in to bat first, Bangladesh scored 208/10 in 49.2 overs riding on debutant Mosaddek Hossain’s team highest unbeaten 45 runs.
