World-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan shone with the cherry for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Rajasthan Riyals in their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajib Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, India on Monday last. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets in that match.
Sent into bat first, Rajasthan Royals scored 125 for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad sailed home making 127 for the loss of one wicket when they had 25 balls to spare.
Shakib Al Hasan bagged two wickets at the cost of 23 runs.
Rahul Tripathi was caught at the long-on by Manish Pandey off Shakib Al Hasan when Rajasthan’s score was 92 for the loss of four wickets.
Sanju Samson of Rajsthan Royals was caught by Rashid Khan off Shakib Al Hasan when Rajasthan’s total was 94 for the loss of five wickets.
It may be mentioned that Shakib Al Hasan conceded 20 runs in his three overs. Then he picked up two wickets in his fourth over instead of three runs.
