Shakib, Mustafiz to play in rest of matches of IPL

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman will take part in the rest of the matches of Indian Premier League (IPL), which are scheduled to held UAE.
Mustafizur Rahman submitted his letter to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) some days ago to get permission to play in the rest of the matches of IPL, while Shakib Al Hasan submitted his letter to the BCB on Saturday last to get permission to participate in the rest of the matches of IPL. Mustafzur Rahman has played for Rajashthan Royals, Shakib Al Hasan has played for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Bangladesh Cricket Board will take decision about Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman in the meeting of BCB on September 1. BCB is positive to give permission to Shakib and Mustafizur to play in IPL.
It may be mentioned that IPL was suspended in India due to coronavirus outbreak in May this year. Later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shifted IPL in UAE which will start from September 19. A total of 31 matches will be held inUAE.
After the suspension of IPL, Bangladesh Cricket team have been busy from June to play cricket series against Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand and England. England Cricket team was scheduled to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches after the series of Zimbabwe, Australia and New Zealand. But England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed that England Cricket team will arrive in Dhaka in March of 2023. So, Shakib and Mustfiz get time to play rest of the matches of IPL in UAE.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Akram Khan said, ” It will be a good chance for the players of Bangladesh. If our players take part in IPL, which is a high rated tournament, it will be a special chance for those players. If they perform well and as we will play in the upcoming ICC World T20 there, our key players will adapt with the conditions of UAE. BCB is positive about there matter. I think there will be no problem for them to play in IPL.”
