UNB, Dhaka :Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahaman have been included in the ESPN Cricinfo’s ODI team of year for 2015.Apart from Shakib and Mostafiz, skipper Brendon McCullum, opener Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson and left-arm-seam bowler Trent Boult of New Zealand, Sri Lankan retired wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara, South African hard-hitter batsman AB de Villiers, Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell and fast bowler Mitchell Starc and Pakistan-born South African bowler Imran Tahir are in the ODI XI of the year.The world famed all-rounder Shakib scored 421 runs in ODI format in 2015 with an average of 42.10 and bagged 24 wickets conceding 27.66 runs on average.Shakib took 4 for 55 in a closely fought match against New Zealand in the World Cup, and ended the year with 5 for 16 against Zimbabwe at home.He also scored back-to-back match-winning fifties against India in Mirpur to seal the series. Mustafiz captured 26 wickets with the best figure of 6 for 43 against India in his nine-match ODI career starting in 2015, conceding average runs of 12.34.The 20-year-old left-arm seamer started his bowling career in a style with five-wicket hauls in his first two ODIs in a series against giant India, only the second bowler to do so after Zimbabwe’s Brian Vitori.He went on to trouble the South Africans later that season. Some of the best batsmen in the world struggled against Mustafizur’s off-cutter and slower deliveries.
