Shakib makes highest score in beep test

World’s best ODI all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan made highest score in beep test (one kind of fitness test) on Wednesday. Shakib scored 13.7 points.
Shakib Al Hasan was out of cricket for one year due to the ban of International Cricket Council. He was staying with his family during this period. He took part in a short training under the supervision of his Mentors Nazmul Abedin Fahim and Mohammad Salahuddin during this time. But he made the highest score in beep test marking the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. The fitness test was held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Around hundred cricketers took part in the beep test on Monday and Tuesday last. Promising pacer Mahedi Hasan Rana top-scored with 13.6 in beep test before Shakib Al Hasan took part in the beep test.
After 376 days Shakib Al Hasan came at the Home of Cricket to take part in the fitness test on Monday.
As he was not totally prepared to take part in the beep test, he finally participated in the fitness test on Wednesday. All the cricketers and the trainers were surprised after finishing the beep test of ace all-rounder of Shakib Al Hasan. He got highest score.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board made a point frame for beep test. The minimum score was 11. Nasir Hossain, Subashis Roy and Sohag Gazi failed to achieve minimum score in beep test.
Though Shakib Al Hasan was out of the field for a long time but he retained his fitness.
Shakib took part in the beep test under Nick Lee, the trainer of Bangladesh National Cricket team and High Performance team.
After Shakib’s test, Nick Lee said, “Shakib did well. Everything went well. Shakib’s performance was absolutely satisfactory in beep test.”
