Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan left Dubai for the United States of America (USA) on Tuesday to spend his time with his family and also for the medical treatment. Shakib ruled out from the ICC T20 World Cup after he got hamstring injury when he was playing against West Indies in their Group-1 match on October 29. Though Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup campaign is not finished but Shakib could not stay with Bangladesh team as he was pulled out from the World Cup due to hamstring injury. Shakib will return to Dhaka before the Pakistan series, which will start from November 19.
Shakib got injury on his left foot when he was fielding against West Indies. Then, he left the field. Later, He changed his batting position and started his batting as an opener. But, he returned to the pavilion after scoring just nine runs.
After getting injury, Shakib was taken to 48-hour observation. Chief Physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Debashish Chowdhury said after examining his injury the physicians found that his injury was first grade. So, he was ruled out from the tournament.
