Prolific all-rounder and left-arm specialist batsman Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh hit a century against England in their match of the ICC World Cup Cricket at Cardiff in Wales on Saturday.
Bangladesh made 280 for in 48.5 overs.
Earlier, England piled up a huge 386 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Shakib Al Hasan notched up a superb 121. His 119-ball innings saw 12 fours and one sixer. Shakib reached the 100-run landmark using 95 balls with nine fours and a six. It was Shakib’s eighth ODI century. After Shakib’s dismissal, Mosaddek Hossain joined Mahmudullah Riyad.
Shakib Al Hasan is the only Bangladesh all-rounder, who scored 5,000 runs and picked up 250 wickets. Shakib played 201 ODI matches.
