After ending suspension, prolific all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan returned in the international cricket competition. His waiting to return in the international cricket at home will come to an end tomorrow. Shakib Al Hasan will perform against Zimbabwe in the first Test match, which begins tomorrow (Saturday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Before taking part in the first Test against Zimbabwe, Shakib Al Hasan played in the Cricket Competition of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon of South Korea. Shakib shone with the willow and cherry in that tournament.
At the home ground, Bangladesh are stronger opponents but if Bangladesh want to win, Bangladesh have to perform its best in the Test matches and One Day International (ODI) matches against Zimbabwe.
Shakib Al Hasan said, “There is no reason to take Zimbabwe lightly. If we can perform our best, we will win the series against Zimbabwe.”
In the Dhaka Test, Shakib Al Hasan, Taijul Islam and promising Zubaer Hossain Likhon will be the spinners for the hosts. Al-Amin Hossain and Shahadat Hossain will be the pacers for the home side. Team Management of BCB may include these five bowlers in the Test squad of Bangladesh against Zimbabwe.
World famous all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is satisfied with their bowling attack. But he believes that everything depends on the performance in the field.
Shakib Al Hasan said, “I think if we want to win in Test matches, we have to pick up 20 wickets. The bowling attack of Bangladesh may be the key weapon to win the Zimbabwe series.”
