Star cricketer of Bangladesh National Cricket team Shakib Al Hassan has become brand ambassador of Gulf Oil Bangladesh (GOBL). After signing the deal as brand ambassador, GOBL announced the news on Thursday. GOBL is the second Gulf entity across the world to sign on a brand ambassador and this reinforces the commitment that Gulf Oil has to Bangladesh, said a media release.
Gulf Oil Bangladesh is a part of Gulf Oil International, which has operations across the globe in more than 100 countries. GOBL has been operating in Bangladesh for more than 10 years and has now formed a Joint Venture with the IFAD Group. The Gulf brand is renowned across the world for its quality products. The iconic brand has a rich history of sporting associations in general and motor sports in particular and is a part of major auto sports events across the globe such as 24 hours of Le Mans and Moto GP. In Bangladesh, Gulf Oil has chosen to associate with cricket, as it is the most popular sport in the country.
Commenting on the occasion, Shakib Al Hassan said, “I am super thrilled to be the face of Gulf Oil in Bangladesh. Gulf oil is the only multi-national lubricant major who has their own operations in Bangladesh and gives utmost importance to their product quality and customer service. Their brand values of Quality, endurance and Passion truly resonates with my game and I look forward to make this association a grand success story”.
“Gulf Oil is a global entity with operations in more than 100 countries across the world. However when it comes to Bangladesh, we were looking for a local icon who personifies the brand’s commitment to its customers and to the markets it operates in. We found a perfect fit in Shakib al Hassan to bring to life the story of Brand Gulf. Together we believe that it will be a winning partnership for Gulf Oil in Bangladesh”, said Mr. Amlan Mitra, CEO of Gulf Oil Bangladesh.
Gulf oil is the first lubricant multinationalbrand in Bangladesh to appoint a world-renowned cricketer as the brand ambassador for their business.
