Best ODI all-rounder of world cricket Shakib Al Hasan landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airpur on Thursday night from United States of America. Shakib was banned for one year by International Cricket Council (ICC) as the ace all-rounder failed to report corrupt approaches to the authority. However, Shakib’s ban was automatically withdrawn from October 29. Protocol Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Wasim Khan received Shakib at the Airport.
Thousands of fans of Shakib Al Hasan are waiting for Shakib’s return to the capital.
After the arrival at the Airport, Shakib Al Hasan talked to the journalists.
Shakib said, ” My return to country is exceptional this time. But this time I have reached my country after overcoming a mount of pressure.”
He said to the newsmen, ” I feel good to see you. Earlier, I returned from USA. But I didn’t feel easy those times. I returned home without any under pressure and without any headache. Now I want to present my love, prayer and support to my well-wishers, who are eagerly waiting for my return to cricket.”
The 33-year-old all-rounder said, “I shall try to comeback as early as possible. I shall take time and I think I shall get time to return to the cricket. I hope I can prepare my self before take part in the competitive cricket.”
It may be mentioned that the Bangabandhu T20 Cricket will start in November.
Shakib Al Hasan will take part in the forthcoming tournament.
