English Club, Department of English, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) staged two Shakespearean plays on Wednesday and Thursday as a part of celebration of the anniversary of William Shakespeare, the English poet. The plays performed by the students and teachers in the festival included Hamlet and Merchant of Venice.
Prof Dr Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor of GUB, attended the festival as the Chief Guest while Dr Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GUB, presided over the program.
Besides this, Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer of GUB; Lt Gen Md. Mainul Islam (Retd), Registrar; Prof Mustafizur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Arts, City University; KM Wazed Kabir, Chairperson, Dept of English, GUB; were present in the program.
