Besides acting in good story based dramas, popular actor of the small screen Abdun Noor Shajal is also working in good story based movies. Despite acting in big screen, this actor does not stop to act in dramas because he always believes he came into
acting from the small screen. Currently Shajal has acted in some movies. Recently Shajal has completed shooting of Zahid Hossain written, scripted and directed movie Subornobhumi, which story is based
on the Liberation War. Shajal said that after Eid-ul-Fitr, he took part in shooting of this movie for some days in a row and
completed shooting of his part. Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Omar Sani, Shaon Ashraf, Snigdha, among others, were his co-actors in this movie. Uttam Guha is working as art director, who got the National Film Award for 10 times, in this movie. Shajal played in role of a writer named Kudrat in the movie. He writes a novel which is based on the stories of the Liberation War. While talking about acting in Subornobhumi, Shajal said, “Liberation War based stories always attract me a lot. I never disagree to work in these types of story based movies. Zahid Hossain Bhai is a
talented director. He has made this movie cordially. Zahid Bhai is such a director by whom story is pointed out properly. After taking part in a shot and if it became good, he always appreciated it. This thing always gave me inspiration to do acting well during taking part in the shooting of this movie.”
Shajal informed that he has also
finished shooting of another movie, government-grant movie, titled 1971 Seisob Din directed by Hridy Haque. Therefore, Shajal starrer other movies Sonjog, directed by Aby Sayeed; Jinn, directed by Nader Chowdhury; Jahanara, directed by Anonno Mamun; and
Puff Daddy, directed by Ujjal-Nabi.
