Jannatul Ferdous Snigdha is
a newcomer actress in the film industry. She debut with her
acting career through Zahid Hossain directed movie Sonar Char. This actress later got the opportunity to play the lead
role in same director’s upcoming movie titled Subornobhumi. Story, script and dialogues of the movie were also written by director Zahid Hossain himself.
In the movie Subornobhumi, popular face of the small screen Abdun Noor Shajal played the role of freedom fighter Kudrat, who is basically a writer. This Kudrat wrote a novel titled Subornobhumi based on all incidents which took place during the war of liberation in 1971. Snigdha played in role of Nuri and she acted opposite Shajal in this movie. Snigdha is very much excited to get the scope to play such a big role in her second acted movie.
Director Zahid Hossain informed that all works related to the movie is almost end. “Very soon, we will submit the movie to the Censor Board for getting clearance certificate. We are planning to release the movie in the month of Victory (December),” said the director.
While talking about acting in the movie, actor Shajal said, “Story of liberation war always attracts me. So, if I get the scope to pay tribute to the martyrs of the liberation war I never regret to do it. Zahid Hossain Bhai is a noted and talented person. He has made the movie cordially. Before making the movie, its planning was nicely prepared by him. After completing shooting of a scene when he touched his hand on my head as I did well – it was really a great achievement for me. I think it is a blessing for me. As a newcomer, Snigdha had intention to do better acting in the movie. I wish her success.”
Actress Snigdha shared her feelings by this way, “Zahid Hossain Sir gave me the opportunity to work in his movie. It was really a big opportunity for me. After working in Sonar Char and Subornobhumi, I worked under same director’s direction under same team. All the members of the team co-operated me a lot as a newcomer actress during shooting of these two movies, which I really liked. I am grateful to Zahid Sir because he gave me the opportunity to play the role Nuri in the movie Subornobhumi, which was a great achievement for me in my short career in the silver screen. Shajal Bhai is a talented actor. He also co-operated me in every moment during the shooting. I am also grateful to him. I tried to give my level best effort to portray the character Nuri properly in the movie. Now I am waiting to get release date of the movie Subornobhumi.”
Snigdha also said that she is a student of honours first year of Computer Science and Engineering at a private university now. Her hometown is in Barishal. Born on February 17, Snigdha has two other sisters – Sneha and Sporsho.
