Shahriar Zaman, a second year honours student of Statistics Department of Dhaka University (DU) and Badrul Alam, a second year honurs student of Applied Chemistry Department of DU became the joint-champion of the Annual Sports Competition of Amar Ekushey Hall of DU on Monday. Abdul Hannan, a third year student of Mathematics finished runner-up in the sports meet. The sports competition was held at the Central Play Ground of DU.
Treasurer of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin inaugurated the sports meet in the morning.
After the sports competition, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University Professor Dr Sahid Akhter Hussain distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Provost of Amar Ekushey Hall Professor Dr Md Anwarul Islam, residential teachers of the Hall and the officials of the Physical Education Centre were present at the time.
