Shahriar Alam leaves for NY

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam left Dhaka for New York on Tuesday morning to attend a special session of “Building Synergy and Coherence in the implementation of the Istanbul Plan of Action in the context of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.”
The state minister will preside over the session as Bangladesh currently is the chair of the developing nations, a foreign ministry press release said.
He will also present a keynote paper in the session scheduled to be held at UN Headquarters on February 11.
After leading a three member delegation in the session, the state minister will return home on February 17.
