Due to have a lot of dedication to folk music Shahnaz Belly has established herself in the field of country’s music arena. She always feels comfortable to introduce herself as a Lalon singer to all. She has several albums in the markets.
She has already finished recording of 10 songs of Radharaman to compile a solo album. Mannan Mohammad and Azad Mintu have arranged its music. Therefore, she has rendered a modern song written by Kabur Bakul and composed by Shawkat Ali Emon.
Belly is now taking preparation to release the album. She is also busy with several stage shows. She will perform in Cox’s Bazar, Narayanganj and Bhola on February 3, 4 and 7 respectively. Therefore, she will have to take part in other stage performances.
While talking about her upcoming solo album Belly said, “I always enjoy performing on stage shows because there is a scope to connect with the audience easily.”
When she was a student of Class VIII Shahnaz Belly first came to Shafipur Ansar Academy to perform on stage. She rendered a Lalon song in that show which helped her to become popular. Later she worked as part of orchestra of Ansar Academy regularly. Besides rendering songs there, she also learned how to play table and mendula. But her mind remained at home. After SSC examination she again joined in that orchestra team. She started to perform where foreign delegates visited the Academy. Under the banner of Kolotan her first solo album Ekbar Pailey was released.
“Farida Parveen Apa is my idol in the field of music in my life. I get inspiration from her music, Lalon songs,” Belly said.
