Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on Tuesday left here for Kolkata to attend the ‘Inland Water Transport and Coastal Shipping Summit’ in the capital on Indian state of West Bengal.
The minister is leading a six-member delegation to the two-day summit on May 24-25, said an official release here.
Other members of the delegation include Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Chairman Commodore M Mozammel Haque, Department of Shipping Chief Engineer AKM Fakhrul Islam, BIWTA Director (Traffic) Md Abu Jafar and BIWTA Joint Director (Traffic) Md Saiful Islam.
Indian Chamber and Commerce and Inland Water Transport of India are jointly organizing the summit, the release added.
